At Elite Visagiste, we strive to provide exceptional makeup artistry services and customer satisfaction. This Refund Policy outlines our procedures for deposits, cancellations, refunds, and handling of client concerns.
By booking our services, you agree to the terms outlined in this Refund Policy. Please read this document carefully to understand your rights and obligations regarding payments and refunds.
Deposits and Payments
Standard Services
For standard makeup services (non-wedding events):
- A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking
- The remaining balance is due on the day of service
- Payments can be made via credit/debit card, bank transfer, or cash
Bridal and Wedding Services
For bridal and wedding makeup services:
- A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking
- The remaining balance is due 14 days before the wedding date
- For bookings made less than 14 days before the event, full payment is required at the time of booking
Group Bookings
For group bookings of 4 or more people:
- A 40% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking
- The remaining balance is due 7 days before the event
- A final headcount must be confirmed 7 days before the event
Makeup Lessons
For personal makeup lessons:
- Full payment is required at the time of booking
- Lessons can be rescheduled with at least 48 hours' notice
Cancellation and Refund Terms
Standard Services
For standard makeup services:
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the appointment: Refund of any amount paid beyond the non-refundable deposit
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the appointment: No refund, full payment required
Bridal and Wedding Services
For bridal and wedding makeup services:
- Cancellations made more than 60 days before the wedding date: Refund of any amount paid beyond the non-refundable deposit
- Cancellations made 30-60 days before the wedding date: 50% of the total service cost is forfeited
- Cancellations made less than 30 days before the wedding date: No refund, full payment required
Bridal Trials
For bridal makeup trials:
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the trial: Full refund of the trial fee
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the trial: No refund
- The trial fee is separate from the wedding day service fee and is not deducted from the final balance
Group Bookings
For group bookings:
- Cancellations made more than 14 days before the event: Refund of any amount paid beyond the non-refundable deposit
- Cancellations made 7-14 days before the event: 50% of the total service cost is forfeited
- Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event: No refund, full payment required
- Reducing the number of people in your party less than 7 days before the event: No refund for the reduced number
Makeup Lessons
For personal makeup lessons:
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the lesson: Full refund
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the lesson: No refund
- One free reschedule is permitted with at least 48 hours' notice
Rescheduling Policy
Standard Services
For standard makeup services:
- Rescheduling requests made more than 48 hours before the appointment: One free reschedule permitted, subject to availability
- Rescheduling requests made less than 48 hours before the appointment: Rescheduling fee of 25% of the service cost may apply
Bridal and Wedding Services
For bridal and wedding makeup services:
- Rescheduling requests made more than 60 days before the wedding date: One free reschedule permitted, subject to availability
- Rescheduling requests made less than 60 days before the wedding date: Subject to availability and may incur additional fees
- If we are unable to accommodate your new date, our standard cancellation policy will apply
Makeup Lessons
For personal makeup lessons:
- Rescheduling requests made more than 48 hours before the lesson: One free reschedule permitted
- Rescheduling requests made less than 48 hours before the lesson: Rescheduling fee of 25% of the lesson cost may apply
Service Satisfaction
During Your Appointment
If at any point during your makeup service you are not satisfied with the direction or application, please communicate your concerns immediately to your makeup artist. We are committed to ensuring your satisfaction and will make reasonable adjustments to achieve your desired look.
Post-Service Concerns
If you have concerns about your makeup service after your appointment:
- Please contact us within 24 hours of your service
- Provide specific details about your concerns
- Include photographs where possible
Resolution Process
We handle all client concerns on a case-by-case basis. Possible resolutions may include:
- Touch-up appointment at no additional charge
- Partial refund in exceptional circumstances
- Credit toward future services
Please note that makeup is subjective, and we cannot offer refunds based solely on stylistic preferences that were not communicated during the service. We encourage open communication throughout your appointment to ensure your satisfaction.
Force Majeure
In the event of circumstances beyond our control (such as severe weather conditions, natural disasters, serious illness, or other emergencies) that prevent us from providing the booked services:
- We will make every effort to reschedule your appointment
- If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be provided, including the deposit
- We are not liable for any additional costs incurred as a result of the cancellation (e.g., venue costs, other vendor fees)
Refund Processing
When a refund is approved:
- Refunds will be processed using the original payment method when possible
- Credit/debit card refunds typically take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement
- Bank transfer refunds may take 3-5 business days to process
Gift Certificates and Prepaid Services
For gift certificates and prepaid service packages:
- Gift certificates are non-refundable but transferable to another person
- Gift certificates expire 12 months from the date of purchase
- Prepaid service packages are non-refundable once the first service has been rendered
- Unused prepaid services may be eligible for partial refund within 30 days of purchase, subject to a 20% administration fee
Special Circumstances
We understand that exceptional circumstances can occur. In cases of serious illness, bereavement, or other significant life events, please contact us as soon as possible. We will review these situations on a case-by-case basis and may offer more flexible terms at our discretion.
Documentation may be required to verify special circumstances.
